National Scrapbook Day Challenge #5

My Pink Stamper's Challenge # 5 is to create a 3-D Project

I created a Farm House Shaped Card for my Nephew to turn in to the Sprout Channel that they show and television to celebrate children's birthdays.

The main character Chica lives in this farm house, which is similar to the Farm House in Country Life and all of a sudden a vision popped in my head.

I also added Elmo because Sprout airs episodes of Sesame Street.

All the pictures are placed with pop dots to add dimension.

Mickey Mouse Birthday Party Theme

For my nephew's 1st birthday party, we decorated with Mickey Mouse (his all time favorite character).
Here are a few pictures of the decorations I put together:

I got the balloons from a wholesale party supply store, everything was super cheap.
I cut the Mickey Mouse birthday banner with my cricut machine and the Mickey Font Cartridge.
They were cut at 2 1/2 inches with two layers (the first with the letter on the shape and the second was just red paper cut from the mouse head).

I also made Mickey and some of his friends to greet the guests at the door.
The characters were cut at 12 1/2 inches
Mickey's House was cut at 14 inches.
(this house alone took 1 hour to piece together!)
I taped metal stakes in put them in the ground.

Valentine's Cards

I know it's been a month since Valentine's Day, but I've been so busy studying for my GRE exam (even taking it twice since Valentine's Day). I just wanted to share two cards I made.

A2 size card, the pink and black mats are mulberry paper from $1 section at target (years ago)
The smaller pink mat is from Anna Griffin's line of paper (I can't remember the name, it has animal prints in pink and black).
The font is from Don Juan
The heart is from Valentine's Solutions Cartridge
- added red stickles (it's hard to tell) and rhinestones from Michaels $1 section
-Black satin ribbon (from Michaels).

The second card, is the actual card I gave my hunny this year.
This is the first time we've been apart in 4 years, he just moved to Boston to get his MBA for the next two years, so I had to make a special card.
Whenever we say goodbye to each other, we always say "KISSES".
So when I saw the phrase "KISS ME" in the sweethearts cart, I got a vision in my head.
I wanted it to be simple and elegant (and suitable for a guy)

It's difficult to tell but I layered the couple, but there is a shadow which is more visible in person.
I embossed a pearl paper from Target $1 section, with the D'vine swirls Cuttlebug folder, and stickled the swirls with diamond.
The couple is from Sweethearts Cartridge
The ribbon is actually a black satin ribbon about 2 inches wide, with a red velvet ribbon (1inch) layered on top.

Baby Shower Decorations

Last year my mother and I hosted a Baby Shower for my sister, who was expecting a boy. Well when I heard the news, the ideas for decorations were popping into my head.

Here are a few pictures of the decorations I put together:

I made diaper cakes as the center pieces for the 10 tables.

I hung baby clothes on a clothesline as a decorations.

I found a great website online BabyShowerStuff.com where I purchased the balloons, candy and baby dolls.

This baby in his carriage welcomed the guests to the party, at the front door.

Of course we had to have specialty drinks at this event, on the left Blue Raspberry Martinis "Pregatinis" and Lemonade.
